I think those games from Ludum Dare should be improved before posted to somewhere else. It's cool concept but why not develope it before show to the bigger public than that competition.
Add a health bonuses, achievements and other enemies.
P.S.
A great example is a Mad Princess game. It was improved after competition and bigger public got actual game, not a bare concept.

The gameplay reminds me a lot the project I started to make long ago but never being able to finish by some reasons.

It plays pretty nice and the graphics are very clean. Creating and completing levels is sometimes a monotonous process, especially compared to making the engine. you just got to stick with it.
